Hello,
We want to use a server that can not communicate with the Management server as a Repository.
Is there a way?
The following is the configuration.
The Management server and Proxy server can communicate.
Proxy server and Repository server can communicate.
However, the Management server and Repository server can not communicate.
For example, if the Repository server is CIFS, can you register the repository via Proxy server (Gateway server)?
Also, can we backup or restore to that Repository?
Regards,
Yuya

Re: Register a repository server that can not communicate with the management server
Yes, we operate with the CIFS share only through the Gateway Server.
So in this case it will work.
I suggest to test this for backup and restore of a small VM.

Thank you for your answer.
I understood that even if management server and CIFS share can not communicate directly, it can be registered as a repository.

Correct, if you use the Proxy as Gateway Server and Mount Server.
Please test it in a POC to detect any side effects. Thanks.
