Is there a method that allows you to relocate the complete backup chain for a single VM that is part of a multi-VM backup job from backup repository A to backup repository B?
I know that you can relocate the complete set of backup files for a single job between repositories (KB article http://www.veeam.com/kb1729) but would like to 'move the backups linked a single VM' without abandoning the already created backups in the original repository.
If a move is not possible, is possible to remove all backups from the original repository that are linked to a particular VM that is deleted from the backup job linked to the backup repository A?

Re: Relocate backups linked to a single VM in a multi-VM job
Johan, such relocation is not possible. What you could do is use backup copy job to "retrieve" just this VM data into a separate backup to store separately and remove this VM from the backup job - old backups will go according to job retention while corresponding blocks in the full backup will be marked as free according to deleted VMs retention settings (in case of reverse incremental mode).

Ok.
I will try this approach.
Our current disk retention policy is 32 backups so it will take a while until the backups are aged out.
