Hi guys,
I recently posted a topic about creating a yearly file archive here: veeam-backup-replication-f2/file-archiv ... 40384.html.
As per the subject, I found a large number of old Outlook .pst files that were backed up unnecessarily. When they were removed, the Veeam backup that night was large as I assumed Veeam kept the last copies of them.
They are definitely not required, so can I purge them from the backup chain?
Thanks,
c0utta

Re: Remove individual files from reverse incremental
You cannot delete files from already created backup files. To get a new backup chain without blocks containing deleted files data, you need to reclaim the space inside guest OS (sdelete) and perform full backup.
