remove VMware vCloud Director

Post by EBoucq »

Hi,

Someone added a connection to a VMware vCloud Director Cloud host in the backup infrastructure part of a Veeam B&R and I need to remove it but I can't see any option to do so.
Help !

Thanks,
Eric

Hello,
just to clarify: are we talking about the service provider VBR server, or the customer side?

How did you add a host directly? Normally one adds the VCD and not hosts. https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110

Best regards,
Hannes

Hi,

I wrote "host" because that's the description in Veeam B&R but yes someone added manually a VCD connection but I realize there's no option to remove it now...

If you locate this server under "Managed Servers" node and right-click on it, what actions will you see there? Thanks!

Can you provide us with the screenshot? Or with the support ticket number for this issue, so we can ask R&D team to double check the experienced behaviour. Thanks!

Just a guess - aren't you using this server as Cloud Connect server with vCloud Director tenant deployed? Or may be it is a tenant server that has Service Provider added? Thanks!

Nope. It's a Veeam B&R (Enterprise Edition - Type: Rental)

Strange, it looks like you have a Service Provider added (which can be confirmed by going to backup infrastructure -> Service Providers), and Service Provider enables vCD replication resources. But since you don't think it's the case, let support team investigate the case directly. Thanks!
