I have a custoemr who is running VBR as his DR site and replicating VMs from PROD to DR as well as backing up VMs at PROD. Hi is about to loose his WAN link from PROD to DR for a period of time, so he wants to move his VBR to PROD (and suspend replication) so it can continue to process backups, then in the future when he has a new WAN link put everything back as it was.
Any suggestions for a solution for this?

Re: Replicate VBR server from DR to PROD site
Hi Adrian
Replicating a backup server will work.
But a failover through the backup console won't be possible. For that the VBR must be running.
The replica VM of the VBR server must be manually started through vCenter (or ESXi host UI).
To go back to the DR site, a new replica job will be required to replicate the backup server back to DR.
Best,
Fabian
