Hi Experts,
How do you setup the Replication job to use ESX instead of vCentre Server for a VM? In the Replication job it always uses the Vcenter server to select the ESX host. Are there steps to configure this to use ESX instead of vCentre? I did a DR test on the weekend and I couldn't access Replicas when vCenter in production was down.
Thanks

Re: Replica from ESXi host
Hello Simon
Welcome to the forum.
Please add your ESXi hosts to the Veeam console as standalone hosts. You may have to add them by IP, if they are already under the vCenter by their hostname.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
Then you can replicate from host to host instead of vCenter to vCenter.
But please remember, when you move a VM to an other ESXi host via the vCenter, the replica job will not find the VM. It will be a full replica if you replicated the VM via another host based replica job.
Best,
Fabian
