Replica issues

Post by marius roma »

I need to optimize replicas between 2 sites using the Standard edition.
Imagine that the source site use IP addresses in the range 192.168.1.0/24
Imagine that the target site use IP addresses in the range 192.168.2.0/24
I have a Veeam Server and 2 proxies in the source site and 2 proxies in the target site.
Is it correct to say that the throttling rule must limit traffic between 192.168.1.1 -> 192.168.1.255 to 192.168.2.1 -> 192.168.2.255?
While configuring replica jobs using backup as source I can specify only one list of proxies: is it correct to select proxies in the target site or should I allow automatic selection?
Regards

[MERGED] Throttling and proxies

Post by marius roma »

Imagine managing replicas between 2 sites using the Standard edition.
Imagine that the source site use IP addresses in the range 192.168.1.0/24
Imagine that the target site use IP addresses in the range 192.168.2.0/24
Imagine a Veeam Server and 2 proxies in the source site and 2 proxies in the target site.
I created a throttling rule to limit bandwidth from range 192.168.1.1 -> 192.168.1.255 to range 192.168.2.1 -> 192.168.2.255 during business hours.
From the firewall I see that the first proxy at the target site applies the throttling rule, while the second simply ignores it.
How can I force the second proxy at the target site apply the throttling rule?

Correct.

Automatic selection should work.

If both source and target servers involved meet the rule requirements, but the rule is not applied to communication between them, please contact technical support for review.
