We would like to use Veeam to replicate 1000 VMs with RPO : 30 minutes.
Therefore, I would like to know how successful Veeam is in replicating large-scale environments.
I would be more than happy to hear about VCD cases, but vSphere cases are also fine.
Can you give me information on the scale of replication (number of VMs : RPO)?
1000+ VMs is possible and I've seen it personally running in environments I've worked on previously -- the RPO is feasible, but it does depend a bit on the backup infrastructure and the source/target VMware infrastructure as to how well it performs.
RPO here will be mostly affected by the performance of the jobs and the infrastructure involved as well as how much total data needs to be processed in the backup window. So certainly possible depending on the available resources.
