HI everyone, I need to replace the backup repository of my veeam.
Now I am using a server with windows server std with disks on board. Is there a way to migrate the backup chain to the new repository? which will always be a server with windows server std and disks on board.
thank you

Re: repository migration
Hi Massimiliano
Yes, you can migrate the repository.
We have a kb article which explains the migration:
https://www.veeam.com/kb1729
Do you use reFS on the old repository server? Please note, that you will loose reFS FastClone space savings.
You have to use a disk cloning tool to migrate the data to the new repository server if you want to keep reFS Fastclone savings.
Or wait for our next VBR release V12, which allows you to move backup files FastClone aware within veeam.
Thanks
Fabian
