Restore a single file from the 2nd hard drive not possible

Post by Thorsten_Reinert »

Hello Community,
if I want to restore a single file from a backup that is in the backup on the 2nd hard drive, I will not see this 2nd hard drive in Explorer.
It shows me only the first hard drive letter (Only C: not D:)

However, I can clearly see in the Backup that the second hard drive is backed up. The vmdk is present.
What is wrong?

I use 9.5u3

greetings
Thorsten

This is hard to guess.
My guess is that you use a newer operating system in the VM as at the Server that you run the Veeam console on. We will mount the disks to that server and if it can not read it (too old operating system) it will not show the disk.

Our support can look at the restore logs and can identify the real root cause. Please open a support ticket.

Could be as well the case if Windows Deduplication is enabled on the disk, but not on the backup server.
