Restore vSphere VM directly to VCD

Is there anyway to restore a vSphere VM directly to a VMware Cloud Director ORG? It looks like I can restore a VCD VM back to VCD, but I'm wondering if I can skip the import step to allow to restore a vSphere VM direct to VCD - either an instant VM recovery or restoring the entire VM.

Currently, the only option is to restore the VM at the vSphere level and then use the Cloud Director import operation.

We already got similar requests and consider them as potential enhancements for future product versions.

Thanks Vladimir, we are quite interested in that ability as it helps us improve our Veeam offering to be more competitive with 'other' backup software that rhymes with mohesity.
