Hello All,
I am having an issue while restoring some of my VM's to Amazon EC2.
I have narrowed it down to issue with Kaspersky Endpoint protection, but what is strange that I have two pretty much identical virtual machines (Domain Controllers) in terms of configuration, both with Kaspersky Endpoint protection installed, with one VM restored without issues, and the other fails with "FirstBootFailure" error.
I have tried to restore the VM in question to isolated environment, uninstalled the Kaspersky EP, back it up, and managed to restore normally, so it is definitely related to AV software.
Both VM's are under the same Kaspersky EP version, and managed under a same policy.

Re: Restore vSphere VM to EC2 failed
Thanks for performing these tests, Slobodan! Sounds like Kaspesky EP prevents the V2V process from performing correctly by blocking some things in the OS. We will document this incompatibility. You may want to open a case with Kaspersky, to show them both VMs and have them troubleshoot what exactly do they block that prevents the OS from booting.
