Hi All.
I'm doing some lab work and noticed that I get an error when I try to restore an AD object. When the explorer tries to mount the AD database it throws up an error that says "The specified database cannot be opened on this OS version. JetError-514. JET_errBadLogVersion, Version of log file is not compatible with Jet version." Does anyone know a work around for this? I know some of you will say "why are you running AD on Windows 2003?". This is just for my lab practice and I don't have the CPU and memory to run a Windows 2016 DC along with all my other VMs (2 x nested EESXi + 2 x NetApp FAS simulators).
Thanks.

Re: Restore Win2003 AD objects
Is the 2003 DC running SP2?
Veeam Explorer for AD support's 2003 DC with forest/domain functional level of 2003.

Re: Restore Win2003 AD objects
Thanks Carl. My mistake - I'd assumed that AD was at functional level of 2003 since my server was Windows 2003 SP2. It was actually at functional level 2000. I've just raised it and will retry.

Cool, fingers crossed that will sort it
Remember to check both domain and forest functional levels from both AD Users and Computers and AD Domains and Trusts
