Hello,
I started a VM restore of a machine with MS Windows Server 2008 R2 but it only boots to Microsoft System Recovery Options where I can see via command-line that the file system and the partitions are available but when using bootrec there were no identified Operating Systems found. The original machine is working and booting but I can't restore it from Veeam neither with Instant VM recovery nor with "normal" VM recovery or any other workarounds.
My Support Case ID is #00731101.
Has someone any idea?
Thanks

Re: Restored VM boots to Microsoft System Recovery Options
Do you have this issue for all restore points?

Re: Restored VM boots to Microsoft System Recovery Options
Yes I had with all restore points but now I know what was wrong.
It was a problem with CBT because I had exactly the same issue after a new installation via a template. I forgot the template when I reset all CBT information for all machines as it was recommended by VMWare and Veeam. I changed the size of the virtual disk of the machine and after that I had this issue. Resetting CBT and starting a new backup solved it.
