SAN Backup

Hi All,

one of our client wants to take the backup of there environment. The architecture is ESXi Host 2 No. (each with Dual Processor) connected through FC HBA to One SAN (Multipath Connection).Customer want to take backup two critical virtual machine from the production SAN. we proposed one server and one SAN for back up purpose. we are planing to remove multipath cable from the current environment and connect to New Backup SAN and backup server also connect to backup SAN (Backup SAN can connect upto 6 Servers directly).

how many veeam license required to take only two virtual machine (there are 10 virtual Machine on Production SAN) each virtual machine have 2 sockets. and how the backup will happens?

Hi,

You can protect those 2 or all 10 VMs by Veeam B&R Community edition it's a free version of the product.
