Scale-out Repository

Post by oli4 »

Hi all

I try to create a Scale-out repository in Veeam V9, but it always fails with the following message:

"Cannot add repository XYZ because it contains one or more backup files which are not supported by a scale-out backup repository"

This was because at the beginning there was a Replication job configured for that repo, but this was already migrated to a new repo.
I have already restarted the servers, rescanned the server and repo, deleted the job > no luck, still always says the same.

Anyone any idea?

Any chance you have B&R config backups or you have Endpoint backups sitting on the extent you're trying to add?

Hi Joe

No nothing, when you configure the SOR and the error pops up you can see in the details which job is causing the error and this job is already moved to another repo.

If you browse the repository are the files still there as if they were copied rather than moved?

No, the files are gone. I have done this with several other repos and there it worked without any issues.

I'd suggest you open a support ticket then and please post the ticket number here.
