Second Copy, which proxy is in use?
Hello people of the world,
We have several tasks of second copy and we want to check which proxy server is in use every time is executed, because in the configuration tasks you can´t choose this. It´s a secuencial copy of each one of the virtual machines you have configure, one by one.
thanks!

Hello,
I assume you are talking about Backup Copy Job.
Data flow of backup copy doesn`t go through backup proxy: Disk > Source backup repository (> Source WAN accelerator) > Network (> Target WAN accelerator) > Target backup repository > Disk
Thank you.

Yes, is backup copy job. So the resources use in the task are from the server with the repository configure?. And if it´s a CIFS repository?

If you have a Microsoft Windows- and Linux-based repositories the source Veeam transport service is started on the source backup repository; the target Veeam transport service is started on the target backup repository.
In case of CIFS share the source Veeam transport service is started on the gateway server in the source site; the target Veeam transport service is started on the gateway server on the target site.
More info is here. Please check.

You mean your source repository is a CIFS share? Then, traffic will be flowing through a gateway server specified. The same applies to the situation when your target is represented by CIFS share.
