I´ve been searching around for an answer for this question, but i never found a solution....
I think that the answer is so simple that nobody ever asked about this
When you edit a backup job in veeam 9, you can set the default user to use on the job. But if i want to see which user is the default user, where do i see that?
If i look in our backup jobs under Guest OS credentials/credentials i can see an option "default". Where can i see what account that is used as default account in that job?
Is that making any sense?
Yes, got it. It is the account that is specified at the Guest Processing step itself. Just close the dialog to see it - basically the dialog you're talking about allows to specify individual accounts for each of the VMs processed in the job, in case the account you specify at the step doesn't have enough permissions on all of them.
The account displayed on the edit guest processing page is the default account for the job
Then i think we have a problem.
Because in some of our jobs a local account is displayed as the default account and still the jobs goes well, despite allmost all of the servers are in a domain.....
How can that be?
It can be that the local account configured in the job has enough privileges to be used. Local accounts are still available even if a machine is joined to a domain.
