I know it's backwards from the normal mapped job seeding process.
But I have a client who's been using replication for awhile and now is implementing backups from it's remote sites to central site.
Since there are already some replica at the central site, can these be used as a mapped source for new backkup jobs?
Our other option is to ship a small 10TB NAS box to each site for local backups then ship it back to central site and rescan/map jobs.
Anxious to know other or better options, thanks.

Re: Seeding new Backups from existing Replication?
Mapping backup jobs to replica VMs is not possible, but you can perform local backups of these replica VMs and then map backup jobs to these backups.
