Hi to everyone.
Till today, I always use to shutdown Veeam backup repository at define time by NAS Scheduled shutdown (Synology NAS), considering about 1 hour after normal bckupjob finish.
But after last changement, It happens that sometime the backupjob is not finished when the shutdown began.
So my solution is to enable the shutdown of Synology by custom script pleaced in Backup job configuration, but I need your help for do that.
I find some solution using SSL, but only working only using root users. I prefer to use a specific new Synology user that are able only to shutdown the NAS, so I create it and configured it in Synology, but I'm not able to shutdown the NAS. I'm a beginner in Linux...
Can you please give me how to do that??
Thanks a lot.

Re: shutdown NAS Synology after backupJob with no root user
Hi Valerio,
quick look at Synology forums says .bat with "C:\Putty\plink.exe -ssh -pw Y0urP@ssw0rd user@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX poweroff" should do the trick. Put your user, password and NAS IP address there.
Add that .bat into Veeam job settings, under Advanced - Scripts - Post Job Script.
Not sure about non-root account permissions, better ask it on Synology forums.
/Cheers!

I know this solution and i try it, but only work with root users, so I don't want to make visible the root credential in this .bat

That blog post looks promising to me, however like I said before, it is best to address Synology related questions to Synology Forums.
