I just realized this may be more of a vmware question then a veeam question but I'll ask it anyway.
If I have a vm that is 850GB in size, how much free space do I require on the data store for snapshots during a backup? I am moving a vm to a different server that has a smaller data store and will have only about 160GB of free space on the data store, will this be a problem for veeam backups?
Thanks

Re: snapshot question
Hi, the minimum size of a VM snapshot if I remember correctly is 1.2GB when is created, and from here it can grow over time depending on the amount of writes it receives while the backup is running.
VMware usually recommends to stay below 80% of storage utilization. Veeam has no impact on snapshot growth, it depends on the activity while the VM is snapshotted.
