Hi Guys,

Scenario
Aging Hardware for Secondary backup Copy Repo Windows server 2012R2 Windows Dedup enabled
This holds monthlys, Yearlys
Looking at option of moving the Yearlys etc to data tier on cloud storage.
Question is...if we then replace the hardware in 12-18months what options do we have in terms of moving the SOBR to the new hardware or keeping all of this intact ?

Hi Fintan,

No issues with that scenario. You'll be able to add new hardware as new extents to the existing SOBR, put the old extents in the Maintenance Mode, then move the data to the new ones, rescan your SOBR, for example. What exactly concerns you?
