SQL Backup Failing

Post by Jack1874 »

Case ID # 01674535

Guys, we have an issue where our SQL backups are failing on one of our jobs. We have SQL backup working successfully in other jobs.

The only thing that is different on this server (VM) is that we are running two instances of SQL on it.

SQL 2008 R2
SQL 2008 R2 (Express)

Has anyone else run into an issue with multiple instances of SQL running?

I can supply lots more info.. so feel free to ask.

I would suggest waiting for support so they can assist you with this as there can be quite some reasons (might be SQL settings, might be Veeam settings) why it is going wrong.

Does it fail for some specific databases/instance or it's random?

It fails for them all.

The tech suggested that Veeam cannot communicate with the SQL instance.

We're kind of stuck at the moment...

I'd check credentials and ask them deeper investigate the reasons of this behavior.
