SQL Server License when restore SQL Server VM to Amazon EC2

Hi

When restoring SQL Server VM to AWS EC2, if we select "Provided by Amazon AWS" as "OS license" in "Specify Instance Type" step, will SQL Server License also be provided by Amazon AWS ?

We read the following AWS document article, but we do not know how SQL Server license will behave when restoring by Veeam….

Hi, I am sorry but we as Veeam can not comment about the licensing of software from other vendors.

In most if the cases there are several options like preinstalled SQL with licenses, without, and offerings that run the SQL server on a special cloud instance. It is best to contact the cloud provider or ask in their forum, or check directly with Microsoft (since it's their product).
