Re: Storage snapshot fail on v11 after Unity fw v5.1
Hi Nathan, from the Veeam side, this will also be addressed in the upcoming v11a.

Looks like Veeam Fixed this now.
https://www.veeam.com/kb4215
"Dell EMC Unity integration: addressed the issue caused by a recently changed output of one of the Unity API, thus enabling support for Unity 5.1 without having to install the corresponding hotfix from Dell EMC."

Correct. The v11a update addresses the issue and provides official support for Unity 5.1 without the need for any fixes from the Dell EMC side.

Re: Storage snapshot fail on v11 after Unity fw v5.1
Hi,
I have 2 brand new Unity XT 380 and cannot add them to Veeam.
We have an existing Veeam 10.0.1.4854.
I tried too with a brand new VM with Veeam 11a, same issue.
Unitys have latest code 5.1.1.0.5.005.
When I try to add I set Unity IP or hostname (tried both), then credentials, then it shows Unity's certificate, I click connect, and after a looong time error message is "connection problems."
As I saw in online veeam guide there are not a lot of port to open (basically ssh and https), we did it. As the v10 Veeam server is in another vlan with firewall between veeam and unity.
The v11 Veeam server is in same vlan as Unitys and it shows exactly the same issue.
Please any ideas will be gladly welcome.

Hi, judging on the error your issue is completely unrelated to the one discussed in this topic. So please open a support case for further investigation. Thanks!

Feedback, after open case and some research.
My end customer had a " in its Unity passwords...
That's not forbidden but it should, as it is obvisouly not compatible with the Unity CLI commands to connect to the arrays (which Veeam use).
