StoreOnce catalyst limitations

Post by andriktr »

Hello,
In the Veeam v9 users guide I found this limitation for StoreOnce : "The length of backup chains (chains that contain one full backup and a set of subsequent incremental backups) on HP StoreOnce cannot be greater than 7 restore points."
We are using StoreOnce for the longterm backups (Backup copy jobs) and here of course we have much more than 7 restore points:

Is that limitation means that we will be not able to use StoreOnce catalyst stores for these jobs?

Hello Andrej,
Looks like you use backup copy job with GFS retention, which creates independent full backups, and not an incremental backup chains. So you should have no problems with StoreOnce.
Thanks!

Hello Nikita,
Yes it's a GFS retention :) . Thank you for the quick response.
