Storeonce dedupe and compression
Hy.
I use a storeonce vsa as backup repository. I used this documentation for configuration: https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00023056enw
The Storeonce capacity is 10tb. Yesterday run the incremental backup and the job session result show:
Dedupe: 1.0x
Compression: 0.9x
I think the storeonce can 20x dedupe. Why do i see ,,low,, dedupe and compression value in Veeam session result? Thanks.

Re: Storeonce dedupe and compression
The deduplication is done outside of our product. Please check the StoreOnce UI for the resuction information.
The 2 values in Veeam represent the source side deduplication and compression values which are disabled by the best practices settings.

Re: Storeonce dedupe and compression
I disabled the inline deduplication during the job config. On The catalyst store i use high bandwidth mode. So in this case is it normal behaviour?
Where can i disable the source side compression?

Re: Storeonce dedupe and compression
Check page #29 of that HPE guide again. It should be already configured that your data is uncompressed by veeam before storing it. What i like in the way veeam do it is that when adding a supported or "known" dedup appliance all the right defaults are set automaticly.
