Hello everybody,
vSphere 6.5 finally supports hypervisor encrypted VMs. The release notes of B&R 9.5 Update 1 say that these are also now supported by Veeam but I wasn't able to find an information if this is also true for VM replication with Cloud Connect. Does anyone know where to find an official statement about this? Or has anyone doing this, yet?
Any hints appreciated!
regards,
Stephan

Re: Support for replicating vSphere 6.5 encrypted VMs with C
Hi, Stephan - from what I remember, such VMs are NOT currently supported by VCC. But we'll double check with the devs, this may have been just lack of testing. Thanks!

Re: Support for replicating vSphere 6.5 encrypted VMs with C
Hi Anton,
if it's not supported currently I would be curious when this will be. Because encrypted VMs are even more relevant for replicating into the cloud than it is for "Inhouse replication".
Looking forward to your answer from the devs.

Re: Support for replicating vSphere 6.5 encrypted VMs with C
Hi Stephan, Anton is correct, replication of vSphere encrypted VMs to VCC is not possible. I'm not sure regarding our plans in this regard, since for this to work, provider should have access to the tenants KMS server.
