[Cloud Director] Support for version 10.5

Not sooner than in November.

However, we were able to create a hotfix that delivers basic compatibility with 10.5 (backup and restore only).

We will be publishing a KB article shortly. Meanwhile, ensure you're on the latest V12 patch level as the hotfix will require this.

Then most likely you did something wrong as other users are not experiencing any issues with the hotfix.

In any case, this is not a support forum. Whenever you face any technical issues or errors, you should always contact our Customer Support as a first step.

This looks like an error with the plug-in, is it what is failing?

Please provide us with an updated release date. vCD 10.5 is critical for VMware partners who need to migrate over to NSX-T with federation support. NSX-V is officially end of support at the end of this year and previous versions of vCD do not support NSX federation features like NSX-V does.

Yes I see this KB unfortunately without the plugin working clients will not be able to manage their backups.

we are not accept this, now we are searching another service provider for backup. if we will get the solution then we will remove the veeam. Tomorrow we are organizing a mega event of our cloud portal with vmware but Veeam is not the part of this event.

Hello Pawan, please allow me to apologize for the late reply.

The currently available hotfix will ensure backup and restore processing can continue.

All other Cloud Director 10.5 integration functionality will need a proper release vehicle due to the scope of changes required. This cannot be delivered as a hotfix or patch. The next minor release of Veeam Backup & Replication will address the issue and deliver the official support for Cloud Director 10.5

The immediate solution is to ensure your follow the System Requirements for our product and don't deploy unsupported 3rd party software versions.

We've never promised to release 12.1 within 90 days. I believe Anton has already clarified it:

90 days is a target, not a guarantee. It is based solely on the fact that we have release vehicles every 90 days on average. Sometimes more often (immediately after a significant release), other times less often (just prior to the next release). And we're unable to ship new features randomly, outside of those release vehicles.

We're still planning to release 12.1 later this year.
