SureBackup and Cisco HX Cluster

Post by TitaniumCoder477 »

Greetings,

I am setting up a Virtual Lab and Application Group and a handful of SureBackup jobs. I have configured the tested VMs in the SB job to only use 50% of their production resources. But I am still concerned the cluster may load balance them, shifting them to other hosts. How does Veeam prevent/handle this?

Thanks!

Hi,

I will check that with the team. However, I am not sure that I understand what your concern is - as long as the VMs in virtual lab remain accessible by IP addresses, SureBackup should still work fine, or am I missing something?

Thanks!

The VMs can not be migrated to other hosts, as the datastore (Veeam vPower NFS share) will be mounted only to one of the hosts, and the networks usually are configured on the hosts itself.

OK, thanks! I noticed the OTHER VMs did shift around a bit, but that is fine. I was only worried about the VMs in the Virtual Lab.
