Usually, this issue is shown when your account does not have enough privileges to perform the operation. What verification steps have you enabled and what account are you using?

Re: SureBackup - SQL ver
Hi William.
Veeam connects to SQL Database using Veeam service account(by default it is SYSTEM) and I am 99% positive that Veeam Server SYSTEM account is not on the list of SQL DB Users right now.
- it is best to use special service account for Veeam services
- make sure said service account has "Public" role and mapping to DB access. That should do the trick and solve your error.
- as a last resort, you can also use custom SQL.Checker script with attributes - edit Application Group - SQL - Scripts - Edit - > pick one from "C:\Program Files\Veeam\Backup and Replication\Backup\Veeam.Backup.SqlChecker.vbs %log_path% %vm_ip%\INSTANCENAME sql_user sql_password". However note that SQL-checker user password will be in plain text here.
/Hope that helps!

Try using a local admin on that machine instead, as based on the thread referenced above there could be issues with UAC.

Re: SureBackup - SQL ver
- make sure permissions are set correctly on production SQL server
- make sure to back it up at least once after permissions change, because in the backup you might still have same un-configured SQL that will reject any account you feed into Application Group
/Cheers!

Hi Egor,
As checked, doamin admin & local admin already added to production SQL server before this encountered this issue.
