Suspending all jobs for one night
I need to suspend all the scheduled jobs for one night without affecting schedule and without powering down the Veeam B&R server.
All the jobs scheduled for the night should simply not run and start next night as scheduled.
A solution could be powering down the Veeam B&R server but I can't.
Can I stop any service?
How can I ensure that when the service restarts skipped jobs don't start and that they will simply run next night as scheduled?
Regards
marius

Hi Mario,
You can temporary disable backup job via Veeam B&R console (right click the backup job and hit Disable).

Re: Suspending all jobs for one night
Many thanks for your answer.
The problem is a little bit more complex, because I have sevaral jobs and part of them are normally disabled.
I can print a list of all the jobs, note each job I disable and enable only jobs that were disabled.
I would like a simpler way to disable all the Veeam B&R activity without editing single jobs...

Re: Suspending all jobs for one night
Maybe a PowerShell script that disables only desired/listed jobs? Such script can be easily reverted to enable these jobs back. Disabling Veeam Backup Service should also work but it will affect other Veeam B&R activities, that’s why I don’t like this idea.

What is supposed to happen if I simply stop the Veeam Backup Service?

From the top of my head: you may have issues Veeam B&R console and backup jobs wont start.

Re: Suspending all jobs for one night
It should be similar to backup server shut down but without actual shutdown. If you are going to do that I’d recommend to disable all Veeam services, just in case.
