Testing a backup with restore

Hi guys quick query if thats ok?

Need to do a manual test of a vm restore in our vSphere environment

Previously worked at places with Sure Backup where this was automated.

Say i have machine X, can someone give me the steps i need to take, know i need to connect to a different network?

Just would appreciate the steps 1-5 etc if possible

Did the restore unfortunately got an error as below

Failed to call RPC Function, create session ticket, an existing connection is forcibly closed by remote host

Anyone seen this before, checking past forums for it , usually recommends contacting Veeam Support

Hi Bill, it is always recommended to contact support with technical issues like that. As for the restore steps, then I believe you just need to perform an
Instant Recovery of the VM without connecting it to the network, to be able to further re-connect it to a non-production network to avoid conflicts.
