Testing with vSphere free
Hi,
I would like to test Veeam backup with vSphere free, but have read that this does not work .
Can I revert/remove the free license so it will be a trial again and than do the testing with the Veeam software?
It's only being used for 1 month now, so timewise it's still in the trial period.
If not, is there an other way to test the software?
Thanks,
Egbert

Re: Testing with vSphere free
I’m wondering that particular license is in question. Veeam or VMware one? Thanks.

Hi Vladimir,
I don't understand your post/question?
Can you clarify that for me?
Thanks.

What product's license are you talking about.

No problem. Is the license you’re willing to revert Veeam or VMware one?
If it’s Veeam license you’re concerned about, you can probably contact your sales representative, describe your situation and ask for prolongated trial period. Otherwise, kindly contact VMware one, instead.
Thanks.

OK,
Thanks, it's the VMWare one I want to revert.
If this is a trial version again, I can start testing the Veeam backup software.

Yep, you can, as the trial version doesn’t have certain APIs blocked that prevent Veeam from being able to backup/replicate VMs. Thanks.
