Timeout during Update to Veeam B&R V9

Hi all

When I try to update my Veeam V8 B&R to V9 I get a timeout during installation of Veeam B&R:

"timeout expired prior to completion of the operation, or the server is not responding"

Hi Oli,

Did you restart the server after this issue? Are all services of V8 up an running? Is V8 working normal, as expected?

After which setup step did this issue occur?

Hi Karl

The error occurs after I hit "Install", the last step in the setup, after around 30 min.
After this error occurs and I hit OK, the installation will be rolled back.
Before I start the setup alle services are running fine.
When I restart the server after the canceled setup, it looks OK.

What do you mean with "it looks OK"? Did the update work after server restart? Or the previous V8 works normal?

The previous V8 B&R, as the installation gets rolled back.

So server restart does not help with upgrading to V9?

I thin best would be to open a support case with Veeam support. They can check the log files from setup and if there is any issue they will find out.

Please provide us with the support case number.
