Hi Guys,
I'm trying to do a reinstall of Veeam on a Windows Server 2016 machine, however every time I try to click on "install new instance of sql server" it comes up as greyed out/unselectable.
My only option is to "use existing instance of sql server" however I have deleted these instances prior to doing this reinstall, so when selecting this option, it fails every time.
Any tips/solutions so I can proceed?
Kind Regards,
Dan

Re: unable to install new instance of sql server
Hi Dan!
Try running MS SQL server installer manually(there is one on Veeam ISO or download supported version from MS), outside Veeam installation media boundaries. I have a feeling some orphaned SQL trails remain in the system...
/Thanks!
