Understanding Active Fulls

Hello, we have Veeam 8 in a Vsphere env running esxi 5.1 hosts. We have multiple backup jobs running that does Incremental with Create synthetic full backups periodically checked off.

I get nervous with Synthetic fulls, so I would like to use the Create active full backups periodically option. But I want to have an understanding of how it works in terms of scheduling.

So if I have my Synthetic Fulls happening every Saturday, then choose the option to Create Active Full once a month on First Saturday of the month, im assuming what it will do is not run the Synthetic on that day and do the Active Full in its place.

Im guessing that's how it works but I want to make sure?

Yes, that's correct. Active full will be triggered even if you have synthetic full configured at this day. Thanks!
