Upgrade guide 9.5 to 11

My Veeam B&R is updated to 9.5.4.2866. I wonder the purpose of "Create a manual configuration Backup" which is mentioned in step 2. Can I simply skip step 2?

Hi,

The configuration backup is highly recommended before each upgrade: it helps you to keep your data safe in case if something goes wrong during the upgrade. May I ask you, why do you want to skip this step?

Thanks Natalia. Because I've scheduled auto daily configuration backup, and also I'll take a VM snapshot before the upgrade. As the instruction didn't mention step 2 is optional or mandatory, so I'd a bit confuse when I first read it.
