User Guide v10 for VMware bookmarks?

Post by ChuckS42 »

Ok, maybe a dumb thing, but I notice the Veeam Backup v10 User Guide for VMware vSphere PDF is not bookmarked. The doc is over 1400 pages; could you revise it to add bookmarks?

Edit: There seem to be some screwy links in there as well. Page 361, click the "GFS Retention" link, and I get a security warning dialoag to go to a file location that doesn't exist.

Hi Chuck.
Are you sure you obtained User Guide for vSphere from veeam.com website and not from 3rd party resource \ beta program? I have just checked one and it is surely bookmarked all over and there is no GFS link mentioned on page 361. Please double check using this link.
/Thanks!

Same thing with that link. No bookmarks. I'm getting them from https://my.veeam.com/tech-docs. Other docs on that list seem fine, only the User Guide for vSphere is hinky. Using Adobe Reader DC version 2020.006.20034.

Tried from a different computer, using different browsers, no change.

Strange, I have checked from several machines too, tried opening via native Chrome and Opera readers, as well as Reader DC 2020.006.20042 - all work identically. What about page 361 and a link to GFS? I can't seem to find it there, nor on any pages around - first link to GFS Retention will be on page 373.
Anyhow, I will pass your case to the web team to double check - it might be something to do with geo-access...
/Cheers!

Hmm, seems to be page 373 now; the first instance of "GFS Retention". However, now the link is fine. So forget that bit, that seems to have been ephemeral. The lack of bookmarks, though, persists. Thanks for checking.

If it helps, the Properties of the doc show the Creation date as 3/20/2020 12:20:10PM and Modify date as 3/20/2020 12:28:17PM.
