Hi, i want to know if i can use Veeam runing as a Vm to back up the same host that use to work(i searched in the forum and only found similar situations but with a Nas to back up externally), my idea is to have a windows server in one disk, then have veeam runing on another windows server into another disk and to make back ups from the first Windows into the second disk. If its possible what things i have to take speccial care.
Thanks

Yep, it’s possible, yet not advisable. Since in case of major host failure you will lose not only production environment but also backup data.
Thanks.
Thanks.

And you are also going to double the I/O on the storage itself, thus stressing it and having a worsening on backup times, since you will have for the same saved bytes both read I/O from the source, and write I/O to the backup, both happening on the same storage.
