I have the un-enviable task of having to reconfigure one of my SANs. Of course it's the SAN with most of my VMs.
I'm running VEEAM B&R 6 Enterprise, ESXi5 Standard.
Using 'VM Move' is not an option because at some point ther VM is powered off, and the IP address has to be reset.
The VMs can't be unavailable at all.
I'm looking at doing what Storage vMotion does. And one of those VMs is 6TB.
Is there any way to accomplish that with B&R?

Re: Using VEEAM to move VM to a different datastore
Serge, please consider using the Quick Migration functionality designed specifically for the purpose of relocating VMs between hosts and datastores. You can find its detailed description in the Veeam B&R user guide. Thanks!

Re: Using VEEAM to move VM to a different datastore
I tried QuickMigration. It downs the VM for about 5 minutes, and does not restore the IP address. Most of my VMs would be OK with the suspend time if I scheduled them in the middle of the night, but the IP is a deal breaker as I would have to be there to change the IP back to the original.

You can try to change the MAC address configuration to Manual, in this case MAC address (and hence IP) should be preserved. Also, consider using replication jobs instead of migration.

Manual MAC worked. Thanks.
