VB&R Dedup and Windows Server Dedup
Hi,
When we first deployed VB&R 7, we had 7 backup jobs with multiple VM's per job. We then needed to reconfigure the jobs to copy at different times so we ended up with a job per vm.
Would this have a negative impact on dedup savings across the board? Do Veeam recommend Jobs with multiple VMs over Jobs with single VMs?

Hi Adrian,
Veeam deduplication is done per job, so surely having multiple VMs in the same jobs is a good choice. You can group them by operating systems for example so the common bits of the OS have more chances to be deduplicated.

I also can see the Windows Server Deduplication reference, so the following topic might be useful for you: Best Practice for MS Server 2012 DeDup Repo. Thanks.
