Hi,
please can any one help me with how to backup vCenter Appliance, while when I have added in a standard backup job, then I get some warnings like:
- Removing VM snapshot... (0% done)
- Removing VM snapshot Details: The connection attempt failed because the connected party did not respond properly within the time interval, or the established connection failed because the connected host did not respond
- Processing finished with warnings at 9. 6. 2022 22:24:01
I thing its something that the VCSA is working and managing all, but I will remove all these problems.
I have also the Veeam server also in VM and there aren't any problems as on other VM's too.
Thanks.

Re: vCenter Appliance BackUp...
If app aware processing is enabled try disable it or change to copy only
If it works I would just leave disabled or if you want app aware processing its probably a permissions issue

Hi Peter, correct, you need to disable AAIP in the job that is backing up VCSA. Please review this KB for details. Thanks!

Re: vCenter Appliance BackUp...
By default you dont get a real bash when you log into a VCSA because there is a shell wrapper in place. This is the reason why veeam AAIP struggles and you will see this behaviour on a lot of "appliances" where no real shell is available. Its not a veeam issue at first place.
You can toogle between shell and wrapper if you want https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2100508
But i suggest to stay at the appliance shell.
