Hi Team,
Installed a new VMWare Backup Proxy for our vSphere 8 deployment and was testing some backups and reviewing logs. I see that is loading VixDiskLib 7.0.3. Is this the latest version of the VDDK used by Veeam? Is there any way to force another version of the VDDK for backups for testing or are there any plans to update the VDDK at any point?
Thanks!
Tim

Re: VDDK Version
Hi Tim, which version and build of Veeam Backup & Replication do you use?
VDDK version does not really matter as long as you can do everything that you want to do. Sometimes we use older libraries as they are more stable and tested (remember we use this with 400k customers).
As well we are modifing things and use the libraries only for very specific things. For example HotAdd processing data movement is not done through VDDK and we do more things in parallel, different OS support and so on. What is your concern around the specific version?
