Veaam Backup

We are evaluating Veeam Backup And Replication Update 4 and our Vmware production Environment is still running on Vmware ESXI 4.1 due to internal licensing issues which we are working on . We wanted to explore Veeam and encourage our principals to adopt Veeam as our primary software for Backup and disaster recovery strategies . Is there a fix to allow us to quickly run this trial on Vmware ESXI 4.1 ?

Hi,

I am afraid that there is no way how you could run 9.5 U4 with ESXi 4.1, but you can download older Veeam versions from here (v8.0 supports ESXi 4.x).
But, since v9.5 is superior in terms of literally everything, I'd rather suggest to install a trial (60 days IIRC) version of a newer ESXi on some spare host to perform that demo. It's always better to show off with the most decent stuff : )

Thanks very much...l am happy to go with old versions but will my 30 day trial license work on the old versions ?

No, you'll need to work with your Veeam Sales rep to get a license for the old version.
Note that the latest version that supports ESXi 4.1 is 9.5 Update 3a.
