Our company was bought out last year and the corporate in France utilizes Netbackup. We have been using Veeam now for the last 5 plus years and happy with it. But, corporate wants us to switch to Netbackup. I can find comparisons out on a google search but they are several years old. Since both have new versions released later part of last year of first of this year does Veeam have a recent comparison PDF file that I can review/submit to corporate to show them what advantages Veeam has over Netbackup?
Thanks Ken

Re: Veeam 7.0 vs Netbackup 7.6
We don't have real PDF's but here are some differences why Veeam is the way to go:
- We work agentless for image based backups. Agents are a legacy method of backing up servers. This worked in a physical world but things have changed. You don't have to maintain the agents, update them, monitor them,...
- Veeam Explorers for Exchange & Sharepoint for grannular recovery and we already released the beta for AD which will come in v8
- Instant VM recovery: Veeam is the only solution which allows you to start a virtual machine within 2 minutes from a backup file
- Virtual Lab/SureBackup: Veeam offers you the solution to automatically test your backups (VM, OS, Application) and saves you time as well the fact that you are 100% sure you can perform a restore without problems.
- Veeam was the first to support vSphere 5.5 and we will always be #1 to support new platforms (VMware/Microsoft based for now)
- Backup Copy Job with WAN acceleration: easily copy your backups to multiple locations based on the original backup file without impact on your production
- Backup from Storage Snapshots: speed up your backups by using storage snapshots compared to VMware snapshots, currently fully supported for HP and NetApp is announced
As you mentioned you have been using Veeam already for many years so you know it just works
