Hy.
I use some agent backup job. After the job running the Veeam send me an email notification with the backup result. The result contain the following statistics:
Total size: 4 tb - the whole phisycal servers hdd
Data read: 271 gb - incremental data
Transferred: 30,2 gb - data after deduped and compressioned
Backup size: 30,2 gb
Dedupe: 1,0x
Compression: 2,5x
I don't understand the mathematics. 271gb/2,5=108,4 gb, so the transferred data would be 108,4gb considering the 2,5 dedupe rate. How calculated the Veeam the 30,2gb?
Thanks.
