Veeam and VMware essentials

I have an environment with 8 ESXi hosts. These hosts have been licensed using multiple VMWare Essentials bundles. We do not use a vCenter Server, all hosts are managed independently.

If I wanted to deploy Veeam in our environment, would this VMware licensing impact the configuration? For example, would I need 1 Veeam server per Essentials 'group'? Or can I attach the Veeam server to each ESXi host directly and Veeam won't "care" how the host is licensed?
