Veeam Application Aware Processing Support for Micrsoft Sharepoint 2019

Hi Veeam Team,

Could you please let me know if Veeam Update 4(which is projected to release on 1Q-2019) supports Microsoft Sharepoint 2019.

Also, can we use Veeam Agent for Windows(VAW V2.2) and Veeam for VMware backup combinations to make the sharepoint application aware possible if I have my sharepoint environment spanned on Physicals and Virtuals.

Yes, support for the latest MS SharePoint version will be included in upcoming Update 4 for both vm and agent backup/restore functionality. Cheers!

Backup works fine, but recovery might be a bit tricky:

Fist option would be to keep Microsoft SharePoint content database backup together with at least one of the SharePoint server (so you are backing up DB and one SharePoint server with agent and rest with VM backup): backup matching will be performed automatically (so you will see the content of all backup files together).

Another option would be to keep SQL DB away from the SharePoint backups (backup content database with agent and rest with VM backup). With such approach you would need to specify Microsoft SharePoint content database manually every time you perform application item recovery.
