Veeam B&R disaster recovery

Hello,
I just wonder, how in the fastest way I can recover a Veeam backups without Veeam server available.
We have Veeam server VM on the main site which is doing backup jobs, and Veeam proxy/repository on the backup site (there are stored backup copy jobs). If we lose the main site, what is the easiest & fastest way to recover the backups from the 2nd proxy/repository?

Two Options:

1. (fastest with instant vm Recovery if the network between the two sites will not be a bottleneck)
A) Install VBR Community Edition (or use your license) on your proxy server (if it's a windows server) or on another server which has access to your backup repo
B) Configure your old Backup Repo with the new VBR Server and Import Backups from your proxy server
C) Do Instant VM Recovery or Restore entire VM

2.
A) Export the content of your Backup Files with Veeam Extract Utility
B) Copy the vdisks and VM config for each vm back to your ESXI/vSphere Host
C) Register VM and boot up the vm

Proxy server is currently installed on Windows 10.

"Soon", with release Veeam V11 - we'll most probably deprecate windows veeam proxy/repository, and we'll go for the hardened linux repository. So restoring will be a bit harder on linux, because it's not possible to install VBR on linux currently (maybe in future???). Will be there any other tools available for linux except Veeam Extract Utility (and without using Windows VM)?

You can use a windows 10 vm or computer for installing a VBR. No need to use a server.

I'm afraid, there will be no native Linux Veeam Server in the next few years:

While I can promise you lots and lots of Linux love in Veeam Backup & Replication, I just don't see the Linux backup server happening in the foreseeable future. We simply can take this "vacation" from other pressing features to perform the complete re-write, as this will destroy our company. So if you truly love Veeam, then you should not let us do this
